Well served by the transport network being only 17 miles from Manchester Airport. Local railway stations at Goostrey (1.8 Miles) and Holmes Chapel (2.9 Miles) which are both on the Crewe to Manchester line. Manchester Airport Station with undercover moving walkways to the terminals is only 19 mins by train with hourly trains during the day.
The M6 junction 18 is 4.1 Miles (10 mins) away, Deer park is the perfect end to a busy day exploring the area or after a day’s work locally.
The Old Estate Office is situated down a private drive, one kilometre off Forty Acres lane. Many local footpaths and bridleways connect with the property. Evenings can be spent strolling or striding out over the Dane Valley Way, through Cheshire Wildlife Trusts Swettenham Nature Reserve, through Swettenham Village to the Quinta Arboretum, or further on through Davenport Park to Brereton Country Park. For the cyclist, direct connections can be made with the Cheshire cycleway. It is not uncommon to see Team GB out training in the local lanes.
Starting life as a stable or cart shed serving the original Kermincham Hall, the recent refurbishment has been done in keeping where possible with our Organic beliefs. The single storey building in convenient and cosy, the sheep’s wool insulation, wood burner and LP gas boiler help. The main room is a combined Sitting room with efficient wood burning stove and Galley style kitchen with breakfast bar. The kitchen is well laid out with an electric oven and four ring gas hob. A bedroom with king sized double bed, a warm welsh Organic wool duvet and organic cotton sheets help you sleep. The bedroom is next to a shower, basin and toilet. A small utility room houses the fridge- freezer and washing machine. The entrance hall passage leads to a grass area at the front that is ideal spot to soak up the last of the summer evening sun. Surrounding the dwelling are fields where our Organic cattle graze and we make hay to feed them through the winter.
Views from the property extend to the Grade 1 listed and recently nominated UNESCO world heritage site of the Jodrell Bank radio telescope. Above the Cheshire plain rises the Peak District National Park and to the south Mow Cop folly is visible.
Short distances away are local pubs and if you need provisions, Holmes Chapel, Goostrey, Chelford Congleton and Sandbach are all convenient.
