Well served by the public transport network. Local railway stations at Goostrey (1.8 Miles) and Holmes Chapel (2.9 Miles) which are both on the Crewe to Manchester line.
We are only 17 miles from Manchester Airport. Manchester Airport Station is only 19 mins by train with hourly trains during the day. There are covered moving walkways to all the terminals.
The Old Estate Office is situated down a private drive, one kilometre off Forty Acres lane.
Many local footpaths and bridleways connect with the property. Evenings can be spent strolling or striding out over the Dane Valley Way, through Cheshire Wildlife Trusts Swettenham Nature Reserve, through Swettenham Village to the Quinta Arboretum, or further on through Davenport Park to Brereton Country Park.
It is only a short stroll to our local pub.
For the cyclist, direct connections can be made with the Cheshire cycleway. It is not uncommon to see Team GB out training in the local lanes.
We are on Route 573 which runs from Congleton to Davenham passing through Goostrey and provides a link between Route 55 to the east and Route 5 which runs through the centre of the County and onto Wales. It ison minor, quiet roads. From Congleton, the route follows minor roads towards Twemlow Green and Goostrey. The landscape is undulating with no major climbs other than where the roads dip into river valleys. At Twemlow Green there is a very short section on the A535. The countryside is open with pleasant views towards the hills of Wales in the distance. From Shipbrook there is a short climb into Davenham. Here the routes meets Route 5 – going north towards Chester and Wales or south towards Middlewich and Stafford. Distance: 18 miles. Follow the cycle route signs with Red 573 logo

If you need provisions, Holmes Chapel, Goostrey, Chelford, Congleton and Sandbach are all convenient.
If you need collection from local stations this can be arranged by prior agreement.
